Trip to National Coon Dog Races and Swap Meet and a Visit to a New Quilt Shop

Yesterday my husband and I took a day off work and went to the Max's Water Dog Races, Swap Meet and Flea Market at the fairgrounds in Lima Ohio.

It was amazing!  The entire fairgrounds was set-up with campers who put out there wares for sale on their campsite. People were setting up and selling everything - yes including the kitchen sink.  There was gun, bows, everything for hunting or shooting you did not know you needed.  Plus in addition to the kitchen sink there were bathroom sinks, crafts, antiques and again things you did not know you needed.

We spent 6 hours there and did not see the whole thing.  Cost was eight dollars to get in and you could go back to your car as often as you wanted.  This was good if you bought a lot.  If walking was a problem you could bring your own golf cart or rent one.

Of course since we were in Lima I had to visit Heavenly Stitches "Where Quilting is Divine."  They are located on 2696 Greely Chapel Rd.  The store was easy to find close to Interstate 75.  Along with quilting fabric Heavenly Stitches sales beautiful yarn, teaches quilting classes and does machine quilting.   They have two Gammill's.

The fabric selection is wonderful.  I purchased a selection of fabric called "Misty Light" by Yuko Hasegawa for RJR Fabrics. I love the blues.  I am not sure what I will make with it - but had to have it.

If you are ever in the Lima area or passing by on Interstate 75 I most defiantly recommend a visit to Heavenly Stitches.
